FISCAL IMPACT The total annual cost associated with this Resolution is within the District III budget. BACKGROUND During the past several months, certain District III employees have performed in an exemplary manner and assumed additional duties and responsibilities, some of which have exceed the scope of their current positions and has enabled the District III office to operate below normal staffing levels. There is a need to recognize the efforts of the work being performed by these individuals and to appropriately compensate them. Merit step increases shall be provided to two employees moving them on the merit step range from step one to step two in the Board of Supervisors' Assistant - Specialist classification (position #2475), and from step two to step four in the Board of Supervisors Assistant — General Secretary classification (position #11377).
