Costa W:n!:i..N .. ,�r ., to By: Jacqueline Pigg, Contracts Administr for �••.P �J � _s` County .�� DATE: August..:24,_ 2006 � � SUBJECT: Approval of Interagency Agreement#29-495-9 with Acalanes Union High School District SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND JUSTIFICATION I RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement #29-495--9 with Acalanes Union High School District (AUHSD), a public agency, to pay County an amount not to exceed $43,673, to provide professional mental health intervention services, for the period from September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007, including mutual indemnification to hold harmless both parties for any claims arising out of performance of this contract. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Agreement will result in a total payment to the County of $43,673 during the term of the Agreement. No County match is required. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This program supports the f6iowing Board of Supervisors' community outcomes: "Children Ready For and Succeeding in School"; "Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing"; and "Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families". Expected program outcomes include an increase in positive social and emotional development as measured by the Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS). BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMNIENDATION(S): This Contract meets the social needs of County's population, in that it provides professional mental health intervention services to AUHSD-designated, seriously emotionally disturbed Special Education students, who are participants in the Learning Intervention Center at Campolindo High School and their families. On April 4, 2006, the Board ,of Supervisors approved Interagency Agreement #29-495-8 with Acalanes Union High School District for the period from September 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006, for the provision of professional mental health intervention services. Approval of Interagency A regiment #29-495-9 will allow the Agency to continue paying the County for services through August 31, 2007.
