THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on August 15,2006 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Uilkema, Piepho, DeSaulnier, Glover and Gioia
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
On this day, the Board of Supervisors received a letter from Senator Tom Torlakson, Seventh Senate
District, requesting urgent action by the Board to urge the governor to sign bill SB 3.
By unanimous vote of the Board, consideration to take a position, in returning SB 3, a bill to establish a
double fine zone on Vasco road in Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, to Governor Schwarzenegger for
signature was heard.
There were no requests to speak on the matter.
The Board of Supervisors DIRECTED staff to draft a letter to Governor Schwarzenegger urging his
support.
