HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08152006 - PR.2 i i i I i I I I Ps oam�6 ol ga*"m�ql RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING RESOLUTION NO. 2006/500 THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF NOAH BRa`IEGMANN TO THE SPORT OF ROWING WHEREAS, Noah Bruegmann began rowing with the Oakland Strokes in 2001 at the age of 13 because it was the hardest sport he could find and by his own account he was easily the smallest and youngest member of the novice squad that won two bronze medals in the first novice eight and the freshman eight at the Southwest Regional Junior Rowing Championships; and WHEREAS, !at the beginning of his second year Noah Bruegmann quickly.moved on to the varsity squad, experiencing a crew where everyone had a new level of dedication to moving a boat as fast as possible; and WHEREAS, Noah Bruegmann served asi co-captain of the squad during his senior year, winning Head of the American and placing third at Head of the Lake. As an individual he went on to win silver in the Junior Men's Lightweight division at the 2006 C.R.A.S.H.-B World Indoor Rowing Championships.
