BACKGROUND:
The Montalvin Manor Pedestrian and Transit Access Improvement Strategy document,
accepted by the Agency on July 13, 2004, identified a goal of improving the overall
features of Montalvin Park. Improving Montalvin Park was identified as a top ten priority
action for the Montalvin Manor)community. The initial step towards improving Montalvin
Park is to create engineering and design plans for enhancements, upgrades, and overall
features of the park. The irnprovement components for Montalvin Park were chosen by the
community through a community-wide survey conducted in August 2005. The Montalvin
Park improvements, when coin leted, will benefit all the residents in the community and
build community trust and confidence in the success of the redevelopment plan.
