Transfer title in )
DeHavilland U-6A Aircraft ) ORDER
to Contra Costa County )
Fire Protection District ) (Govt.C. 25365)
An aircraft, DeHavilland, U-6A, "Beaver", Serial Number 51-16480,
Registration Number N16644, was loaned to the County under the Federal Excess
Property Program in 1973. The Office of Emergency Services, as administrator
of the Excess Property Program, has held responsibility for it since then,
although the aircraft has been on assignment to the Contra Costa County Fire
Protection District which has flown and maintained it at the District's
expense.
In 1983, Public Law 97-380 terminated the Excess Property Program and
provided for transfer of title to all loaned equipment to the holding agency
(the County). Since the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District has, in
fact, been maintaining the aircraft, and since the aircraft is not needed for
County use, it is recommended that title to it be transferred to the District.
This Board hereby finds that the aforementioned aircraft is not
needed for County use.
It is hereby ORDERED by the Board that title to the aforementioned
aircraft be transferred to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
PASSED on November 6 , 1984 by a vote of four-fifths or more
of the Board of Supervisors.
