THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Date: September 27, 2005 Matter of Record
On this date, Gayle B. Uilkema, Chair of the Board of Supervisors, invited the public to
speak. On this day there was no request from the public to speak.
The following comments were received via the Clerk of the Board e-mail Comments:
Roger Goodwin, 515 Palms Drive, Martinez, CA. with the Vine Hill Neighborhood Imp.
Assoc.
While improvements to the schools are wonderful, I would like to see park funds
in use to replace recreation areas sold to developers in the immediate area for
existing as well as incoming residents who now lack such a place. A safe place
to play should be the norm instead it seems it is more of a luxury.
Roger Goodwin, 515 Palms Drive, Martinez, CA.
Mr. Goodwin is congratulating the Sheriffs Department for all the efforts shown to
combat illegal activities in our County; i.e., meth and meth labs.
Roger Goodwin, 515 Palms Drive, Martinez, CA.
Mr. Goodwin writes that he is supporting the plans and design for the proposed
DA's new building located in downtown Martinez. His suggestion to the Board of
Supervisors was to work towards a parking solution for the proposed new site.
Ralph Hoffmann, President, SRV Libertarian Club, 60 Saint Timothy Court, Danville.
Mr. Hoffman writes his suggestion to the Board of Supervisors to suggest to
County employees to fill and leave their gas tanks half-full for the next several
months due to Hurricane Rita and the gasoline price increase.
