HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09132005 - C82 TO: BOARD OF SUPERVISORS FROM: William Walker,M.D.,Health Services Director _-;�, Contra By: Jacqueline Pigg, Contracts Administrator �: Costa DATE: County SUBJECT: kligu-qtl T %Agen AM v m-v--ao cv Agreement#29-513-7 with Mount Diablo Unified School District �Z SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION C RECOMNENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute, on behalf of the County, Interagency Agreement#29-513-7 with Mount Diablo Unified School District, a public agency, to pay County an amount not to exceed $1,032,858, to continue to provide professional school-based mental health services, crisis intervention, and day treatment services for certain Special Education and regular students, for the period from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Interagency Agreement will result in a total payment to the County not to exceed $1,032,858. No County match is required. BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOMNNIENDATION(S): Fred Finch Youth Center and Seneca Residential & Day Treatment work collaborative with the County and school district personnel in developing program services and policies. The Primary goal of Seneca and Fred Finch Youth Center's Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Program and non-Medi-Cal mental health programs are to continue to provide seriously disturbed children with the services and the support they need to function effectively in school, at home, and in the community. On August 3, 2004 the Board of Supervisors approved Interagency Agreement #29-513-5 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #29-513-6) with Mount Diablo Unified School District for the period from July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005, for the provision of professional mental health intervention and day treatment services to designated students at Riverview Middle School, Sunrise Elementary School, Glenbrook Middle School, Pleasant Hill Middle School, Mount Diablo High School, and Olympic/Alliance High School, and their families.
