SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION: ADOPT Resolution No. 2005/ld5i approving and authorizing the Public Works Director to partially close a portion of Danville Boulevard, on December 4, 2005 from 4:30 pm through 7:30 pm, for the purpose of Holiday Tree Lighting Festival, in the Alamo area. (District III) FISCAL IMPACT: None. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AND BACKGROUND. Applicant shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Applicant will be unable to close the road for planned activities. (District III) RC-OS-15 IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that permission is granted to Alamo Merchants & Professional Association to partially close Danville Boulevard, except for emergency traffic, on December 4,,2005 for the period of 4:30 pm through 7:30 pm,subject to the following conditions: 1. Traffic will be detoured via adjacent lanes. Permittee shall maintain one 12-wide lane of traffic in each direction at all times per plan reviewed by Public Works. 2. All signing to be in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices including the California Supplement. 3. Alamo Merchants & Professional Association shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of$1,000,000.00 for Comprehensive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff s Department,the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District.
