BACKGROUND On February 22, 2005, the County Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve a P-1 rezoning and final development plan for a 15-lot single family residential development on 20 acres in the Walnut Creek/North Gate area subject to minor modifications. The Commission also approved the related subdivision application, contingent on the Board's approval of the rezoning and final development plan. Since no appeal was filed on the Commission approval of the subdivision, that decision is final. III. DISCUSSION This item was originally scheduled for the Board's June 14, 2005 meeting. The Board indicated that it wished to see if the interested parties could try to resolve their concerns prior to Board action on this project. Consequently, the Board continued the hearing to allow the interested parties to discuss their respective concerns. In order to allow the applicant and the neighbors the opportunit to attempt to resolve their concerns, the Board agreed to continue the hearing to June 28 The Board subsequently continued the matter to July 12th, and then to this date. The applicant and the neighbors have made significant progress in reaching an agreement. The draft agreement is currently being reviewed by all parties. Both the applicant and the neighbors have requested this one additional continuance so they may finish their work.
