11. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Total Work Order is $61,500. Estimated contract cost is $30,000. Project will be 100% Road
Funds.
M. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
A. On August 17, 2004, the Board of Supervisors declared an emergency and authorized the
Public Works Director to proceed with the most expeditious manner to repair the San Pablo
Avenue Bridge at Rodeo Creek, Rodeo area.
B. Repair status:
1. Public Works has received repair recommendations from its consultant.
2. Public Works is currently soliciting a contractor to execute repairs.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Non-concurrence of the above recommendation will delay repair of the bridge structure until 2005,
which could cause the structure to continue to degrade. Continued degradation could result in
further increased repair costs and possible loss to portions of the bridge.
