Recommended Action: Authorize the discharge of accountability for collection for the General Fund account receivable in the amount of$100,000 established pursuant to the original JEPA agreement and as recommended by Auditor- Controller's Internal Audit Division. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: A JEPA dated June 26, 1979 was established to provide that the City of Walnut Creep and the County provide funding for the costs associated with a storm drainage project and reimbursement of such costs incurred by the City and.the County would come from future drainage fees collected by District Drainage Area 15A. The original agreement was to expire upon completion of reimbursement payments to CITY and COUNTY or 15 years from date of the original agreement,whichever occurred first. The agreement expired in June 1994. Drainage Area 15A had no drainage fee collections to cover the COUNTY costs associated with the agreement. IV. Consequences of 1`�I,e ative Action: The General Fund will reflect an account receivable that is not longer valid. The ability to collect on the agreement expired June 1994.
