Authorize the Auditor-Controller to cancel in whole the Designation for Assessor Automation in the amount of $677,943 and transfer the revenues into the Assessor's FY 2002-03 budget, to offset computer and technical support costs. 2. Approve appropriation and revenue adjustments. FISCAL IMPACT: None. Revenue from the State-County Property Tax Administration Program is already set aside for approved automation projects that enhance the County's Land Information System. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: On November 23, 1995, the Board approved the County's participation in AB818, which is the source of the Property Tax Administration funding. The Assessor's Office has participated in the program since 1995, and funds have been dedicated to cover increased automation costs associated with enhancing the County's Property Tax Administration System. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Denial of this action would result in a shortage of revenue to offset automation costs incurred during FY 2002-03.
