FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this Contract is included in the Department ' s Enterprise I Budget . Cost to the County depends upon utilization. BACKGRtLZM/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION(S): On August 13, 2002 , the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-251-1.0 with Interim Physicians, Inc . dba Western Physicians Registry, for the period from September 1, 2002 through December 31, 2003 , for the provision of recruitment services of locum tenens physicians. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-251--11 will allow Contractor to provide additional referral, recruitment, and temporary- help services, through December 31, 2004 . FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this Contract is included in the Department's Enterprise I budget. BACKGROUND/REASON(S)FOR RECOM,1ENDATI NfS): On December 15, 1998, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-253 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreements #23-253-1, #23-253-2, and #23-253-3) with Resource Information Management Systems, Inc., for the period from January 15, 1999 through January 15, 2004 and from year to year thereafter until terminated as provided in the Contract, for a Year 2000 compliant Health Plan Management Information System (software license and implementation). Resource Information Management Systems, Inc., has been purchased by, and is a wholly-awned subsidiary of The TriZetto Group, Inc. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-253-4 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services, including training, installation, and maintenance of a new F1lPAA Gateway Module that will allow the Health Plan Management Information System to support Federally- mandated HIPAA transaction and code-set regulations during the term of this agreement. BACKGRQUND/REASON(S) FOR RECQMMI ENDATION(S): In April, 2003, the County Administrator approved and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract#27-557 with Richard Bilodeau (dba Vanguard Review), for the period from January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003, to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to review and audit of patient bills. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #27-557-1 will allow the Contractor provide additional services, through December 31, 2003.
