RESOLUTION NO. 2002/ 693
(Streets & Highways Code § 960)
SUBJECT: ADOPT Resolution No. 2002/ 693 approving Conveyance of Surplus Real
Property located at 401 Frontage Road.

The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property on November 1, 2000
in the City of Pittsburg, described in Exhibit"A" attached hereto, for highway purposes. Said
property is DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary for County or other public
purposes. This parcel was purchased with Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA)
funds.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said property to
Pittsburg Unified School District, pursuant to Streets & Highways Code Section 960 and the
terms and conditions of the Agreement for Conveyance of Real Property dated January 22,
2002. The Board Chair is hereby AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant Deed reserving a
Temporary Construction Easement until September 30, 2003 described in Exhibit"A"attached
on behalf of the County.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Grant Deed to be delivered to
the grantee.
The Board of Supervisors ADOPTED the initial Notice of Exemption on October 24,
2000 (CP#00-85) for advanced acquisition of properties and the Mitigated Negative
Declaration/Finding of No Significant Impact(SCH#2000112007)on March 27, 2001. These
property rights are required for the construction of an expanded freeway along the southern
portion of State Route 4 East, Railroad Avenue to Loveridge Road in the City of Pittsburg in
accordance with approved plans and specifications.
