SUBJECT: APPEAL OF ABATEMENT ACTION AT 3504 Oak Hill Ln., Clayton APN: 078-340-002 OWNER: Robert & Susan Williamson SPECIFIC-REQUESTS)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&'-'.BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS After hearing the appeal, it is recommended to deny the appeal and affirm the determinations: of the County Abatement Officer and direct the County Abatement Officer to proceed and perform the work of abatement. FISCAL IMPACT $8,000.00, if the County sloes the abatement. BACKGROUNDIREASONS'FOR RECOMMENDATIONS On January 25, 2002, staff conducted a site inspection and revealed that thereisan occupied mobile home on site without a valid land use permit. There was also a hot tub adjacent to the mobile home without a permit. The hot tub has since been drained, disconnected and stored onsite. The mobile home has had the utilities disconnected and is stored on site. A portion of the barn has been converted and is occupied as a 2nd unit. No permits were obtained for the conversion. The property owner is in violation of the following County ordinance: Title 7, Chapter— 74-1.002 (Building Permits Required) Title 7, Chapter—82-2.002 (Adaption of the Zoning Ordinance) Title 7, Chapter—82-2.006 (Land Use Violation)' Title 7, Chapter—84-38.402 (Uses permitted in an A-2) The owner of the property has been notified of the violaton(s)through written correspondence and certified mail. As of this date, compliance has not been gained. On July 12,2002, the Building Inspection Department declaredthe'property a public nuisance and posted a NoticeOrder to Abate under Title 1, Chapter 14-6.
