During this past fiscal year there were 24 regular burials, 13 cremation burials and 9
urns placed into niches at the Lafayette Cemetery plus the sale of 10 regular burial
rights, 4 cremation sites and 17 niches. In the Alamo Cemetery there was 1 regular
burial, 13 cremation burials and 5 urns placed into the niches plus the pre-need sale
of 10 cremation sites and 13 niches were sold in Alamo. The Lafayette Cemetery has
over 700 burial sites and 79 niches for sale. The Alamo Cemetery still has 7 in-r
ground niches and 160 above ground niches for sale. No regular burial sites are
available in Alamo.
Our grounds keepers have been maintaining both cemeteries, as well as the opening I
closing for all burials. The Trustees are very pleased at the progress and in how the
cemeteries are being maintained and beautified.
The .District replaced the Sweetbrier Pathway in Alamo with cements steps and a new
steel handrail. "Total cost $18,150. In addition to the new path, we had to replace
the water pipes underneath the old pathway. Total cost $5,600. In the Lafayette
Cemetery we replaced the water system in the side lawns. Total cost $3,400. Had
Ponderosa 'free Service remove dead wood from Oak trees in both cemeteries. The
cost $3,200.
As of June 2002 the District has $194,006. in its Endowment Fund and $12,810. in
LA.IF (Local .Agency Investment Fund) Actual annual operating budget was
$211,800.
District generated revenue for Vy $85,485.
Annual share of property taxes $13105b,
TOTAL $219,541.
Total expenses were57 ` 1,x„2,.
Net operating loss $-37,771.
