HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09172002 - C.36 f ORDINANCE NO. 2002-2 6 (Excluding special assistant to the county administrator-exempt from the merit system and eliminating assistant county administrator-finance.) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code): SECTION I: Section 33-5.307 of the County Ordinance Code is amended to exclude from the merit system the class of special;assistant to the county administrator-exempt and eliminate the classification of assistant county administrator-finance to read: 33-5.307 County Administrator. (a)The county administrator is excluded and is appointed by the board of supervisors. (b) The following positions in the county administrator's office are excluded and are appointed by the county administrator: chief assistant county administrator; assistant county administrator; assistant county administrator--director of human resources; special assistant to the county administrator-exempt; labor relations manager; director of the institute of policy and innovation-exempt; and manager capital facilities and debt management- exempt. SECTION II: EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be published once with the names of the supervisors voting for and against it in the Contra Costa Times , a newspaper published in this County.
