Gilbert, Director of General Services �. _ Contra Costa DATE: September 25, 2001 ' ' County SUBJECT: LEASE FOR THE SHERIFF-CORONER 815 COURT STREET, MARTINEZ SPECIFIC REQUESTS OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. RECOMMENDATION APPROVE an Option to extend the Lease, with the U. S. Postal Service for the premises at 815 Court Street, Martinez, for continued occupancy by the Sheriff-Coroner, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Option, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Option on behalf of the County. II, FINANCIAL IMPACT Payments required are to come from the budget of the Sheriff-Coroner. It was anticipated that the County would exercise the Option to extend this Lease and funds were allocated for the rent as part of the 2001-2002 approved County budget. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION / BACKGROUND Provide for continued use of office space as requested by the Sheriff-Coroner.
