'WHEREAS, Andrew young has been active in the community of Alamo for
thirty- three years;
'Whereas, he has been a member and chair of the Contra Costa Planning
Commission and the San Ramon Valley Planning Commission;
'Whereas, he was the impetus behind the creation of.Alamo Beautification
Zone 36 andplayedda large role in its evolution from being concernedmostly with.
maintaining plantings into an entity that beautifies .Alamo;
'Whereas, ,Andy young has been a member and chair of the Alamo Parks and
Recreation R7-A, as well as serving as their dedicated staff person for many years;
'Whereas, he single-handedly organized, raised money, and put together
plans for the Boulevard of Trees along Danville Boulevard,•
-Whereas, .Andy young has been a member andpresident of the Contra Costa
County 3-fistoricaC.Society;
'Whereas, he aCso has been a member of the San Ramon `VaCley HistoricaC
Society;
'Whereas, he has spent countCess hours of his.time attending meetings of the
