San Pablo Dam Road-Morrow Drive to 1-80 Bikeway project, Project No. 4660-6X4112-

I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE project contingency fund increase of $1,500 for a new total of $5,595 and Contract
Change Order No. 1 in the approximate amount of $5,400.
II. Financial lmpact:
The project contingency funds are currently insufficient to cover the incr ased cost. The increase
in contingency funds will be funded by Transportation for Clea W1

III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
Additional funding is needed to pay the contractor for increases in contract work. The additional
work reinforced weak areas of pavement. This change exceeded the project contingency fund.
Approval of the Project Contingency Fund increase is required to compensate the contractor for the
extra work.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The lack of approval would prevent successful completion of this contract and preclude payment to
the contractor for required work.
