III. Reasons for Recommendation and Background:
The Contra Costa Centre Association has been instrumental in managing the
maintenance of the private landscape facilities in Zone 7 of the Countywide
Landscape District in the Pleasant Hill Bart area. The public right of way
landscaping is a separate and much smaller facility and has been maintained by
County forces in Zone 7 of the Countywide Landscape District. Combining the
maintenance of both the landscape facilities under one agreement with the Contra
Costa Centre Association will improve the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the
overall landscape maintenance effort.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The operation and maintenance of the public right of way and park landscape
facilities will not be able to be operated by the Contra Costa Centre Association.
