RECOMMENDATION Board of Supervisors to EXERCISE, on behalf of the County, an option to extend the Lease dated February 2, 1090 for the premises at 724 Escobar Street, Martinez, for continued occupancy by the Superior Court, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease. ll. FINANCIAL. IMPACT Payments required are to come from the budget of the Superior Court. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND Provide continued use of office space as required for Superior Court Family Court Services. Gilbert, Director of General Services Con ra Costa DATE: September 12, 2000 County SUBJECT: LEASE FOR THE HEALTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT 1330 ARNOLD DRIVE, SUITE #252, MARTINEZ (CP:00-80) SPECIFIC REQUESTS OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 1. RECOMMENDATION APPROVE a Lease, commencing September 1, 2000, with The Cranbrook Group for the premises at 1330 Arnold Drive, Suite #252, Martinez, California for occupancy by the Health Services Department, Environmental Health and a sublease for the State of California EPA, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said lease, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Lease on behalf of the County; and DETERMINE that the project is a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Class 1 (a) Categorical Exemption with the County Clerk; ad DIRECT the Director of General Services to arrange for the payment of the appropriate fees to the Community Development Department for handling fees and the County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption. 111. FINANCIAL. IMPACT Payments required are to come from the budget of the Health Services and State EPA . Ill. REASONS FOR RECQMMENDATION 1 BACKGROUND Provide for use of offices, as requested by the Health Services and State EPA. The space required for additional by Health Services/Hazardous Materials for additional employees for the Industrial Safety Ordinance and California Accidental Release Programs. The State EPA is currently located at 851 Pine Street, North Wing, 2nd floor with the County Building Inspection Department. State EPA requires more space that Building 'Inspection can allocate to them. State EPA will pay for their pro-rata share of the occupancy costs for Suite #252.
