THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on August 15, 2000 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Gioia, Uilkema, Canciamilla and Gerber
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor DeSaulnier
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Status report on Community Services Department facilities leases and acquisitions.
On this date,the Board of Supervisors heard a status report on Community Services Department
facilities leases and acquisitions.
Pat Stroh, Director, Family and Human Services and Kathy Brown, Deputy Director, General Services
addressed the Board, reporting on a new streamlined process Community Services and General Services
are implementing to decrease the time and expense of providing facilities, both by purchasing existing
facilities and building new facilities. Utilization of a standard for modular buildings has greatly reduced
the time necessary to purchase. Additionally,progress continues on repairs of existing facilities.
There were no requests to speak on this matter.
Following discussion,the Board took the following action:
ACCEPTED the status report on Community Services Department facilities leases and acquisitions.

action taken and entered on the minutes of the Board of Supervisors on
the date shown.
