RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE the Incentive Funding Agreement with the County of Los Angeles and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to EXECUTE the Agreement on behalf of the Board of Supervisors and II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no cost to the County General Fund. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONfBACKGROUND: The County has qualified for two incentive programs administered by Las Angeles County on behalf of the State of California to promote the use of crumb rubber from scrap tires in roadway paving. The funds are to be used to offset the costs of pavement deflection testing and quality assurance and control inspections. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Ey not approving the agreement the County would not receive the $15,000 grant.
