SPECIFICREQUEST(S)OR RECOMME VDATM(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION F.0% ATIO m Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Novation Contract #24-933-6 with restw od Behavioral Health, Inc. , for the period from July 1, 1999 through June 304 2000, in the amount o $3, 376, 096, for admission of, and treatment for, individuals who are seriously and persistently mentally ill and in need of subacute skilled nursing care in a facility mown as an Institution for the Mentally Diseased (IMD) . This Contract includes a. six-month automatic extension through December 318 20008 in the amount of $1, 688,048. Floc IPAT e This Contract is included i the Health Services Department's Budget, and the funding source is Mental Health Realignment. On December 1, 19988 the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract 24-933- (as amended by Amendment Agreements 4-933-38 #24-933-4g and 24-933-5) with Crestwood Behavioral Health, Inc. for the provision of admission and intensive day treatment of County-referred mentally ill persons who are in need of sub-acute skilled nursing care in an IMM, for the period from July 1, 1998 through June 308 19998 which included a Six-month automatic extension through December 31, 1999. Approval of Novation Contract, #24-933-6 will replace the six-month automatic extension under the prior agreement a.nd allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 308 2000. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2000, in the amount o- $50,000, FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is -landed 51.5% by Federal FFP Medi-cal Funds and 48. 5% by State F.PSDT Funds. Novation Contract #24-928-2 replaces the six-month automatic extension under the prior Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2000. Physician Compensation Survey with regard to the salaries of :Medical and surgical sub-specialist, the Department is currently re- negotiating Contract Payment Provisions for the medical and surgical sub-specialist . County and Contractor have mutually agreed to terminate the existing services under Contract 426-931-3 and to substitute Contract #26-9316.4 in its place. Approval of Contract x`26-931-4 will reflect an increase in salary consistent with the MDMA Physician Compensation Survey, allowing Dr. White to continue providing services through September 30 , 2002 .
