SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECt7MM NUAT#JN(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 1. RECOMMENDED ACTION: AWARD the contractfor furnishing labor and materials for the subject project to Richard A. Heaps, Electical Contractor, Inc., the low bidder, in the amount of$1119,844,09 and at the unit prices submitted; and REQUIRE the contractor to present surety bands for Payment and Faithful Performance in the amounts of$119,844.99 and $119,844.90, respectively. DIRECT the Public Works Director to prepare the contract for the project. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets per plan approved by the .Public Works Department. 2. All signing to be in accordance with the State of California Manual of Traffic Controls. 3. Tosco Refining Company shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for Comprehensive General Public Liability which nacres the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. 5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff s Department,the California Highway Patrol and the Fire District.
