SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or his designee, to EXECUTE, on behalf of
the County, a Consent to Second Assignment of Lease consenting to the assignment of the lease between
The Solano Way Partnership, as Assignor, and Lithia Real Estate, Inc., as Assignee, for land near the
Buchanan Field Airport.
11. Financial Impact:
There will be no financial impact from this action.

111. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The Solano Way Partnership (Solano)has leased land from the County near the Buchanan Field Airport for
the operation of a Dodge car dealership since 1985. Solano has subleased its leased premises to Lithia Real
Estate, Inc. (Lithia) since March 1997. Solano now desires to assign its interest in the lease to Lithia. Lithia
is considered to be an acceptable tenant for the County.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The Consent to Second Assignment of Lease will not be executed, and the lease will not be assigned.
