REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONIBACKGROUND
AFSCME, Local 512 filed a petition for formal recognition of the existing classifications in the Property
Appraisers' Unit-is follows:
Assistant Appraiser
Associate Appraiser
Appraiser Aide
Junior Appraiser
In accordance with Section 34-12.014, Optional `verification Procedure, the Labor Relations Manager
ascertained that AFSCME Local 512 was selected as the majority representative of employees in the
Property Appraisers' Unit by verification of payroll dues deduction cards which substantiated proof of
employee approval of at least fifty-one percent of the employees in the unit.
