BACKGROUND,fREASON f ) FOR RECOMM A`ITO14(S) : On January 14, 1997, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution #97/17, authorizing the Health_ Services Deparzment to contract with the State Department of Dental wealth to assume responsibility for ,,fedi-Cay mental ^ealth specialty services . Responsibility for outpatient mental health specialty services involves contracts with individual, group and organizational providers to deliver these services. On September 1, 1993, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #24- 939-60 with Jacqueline Mendes, M. F.C.C. , for the period from April 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999, for fedi-Cal mental health specialty services .
