(dba Barbara Milliff Center) , in the amount of $11-0 , 397, for the period from July .1, 1999 through June 30, 2000, to provide in-home, transition, and outpatient services for Medi-Cal eligible children and families enrolled in the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treai-mens (EPSDT) Program. This Contract includes an automatic six-month extension through December 31, 2000 in the amount of $55, 198 . FISCAL IMPACT: `"his Contract is funded as follows : $ 56, 910 Federal FFP Medi--Cal Funds 53 , 487 State EPSDT .Funds $110, 397 Total CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This EPSDT program supports the "Children ready for and succeeding in- school" , the "Children and youth who are healthy and preparing for a Productive adulthood" , and the "Families that are safe, stable and nurturing" ccimmunity outcomes . Expected program outcomes include improvement in , soclai-emot-tonal development-, avoidance of out-of-acme placements, reduction of reports involving Children' s Protective Services, increased family satisfaction, and an increased use of public and ccri-munity-rase resources . Treatment (BA.ART) effective June 1, 1999 , to amend. Contract x`24--979, to increase the contract payment limit by $51, 000, frond S1, 87a, 000 to a new Contract Payment Limit of 1, 926, 300. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded as follows: 982 , 540 Federal Medi-Cal Funds 943 , 460 State. Drug Program Funds $1,926, 000 Total. No County Funds are required. BACKGROPYD/REASON( FOR-RECOMMENDATION(S) : On December 8 , 1998, the Board of Supervisors approved Con trac- 24--979 , with Addiction Research and Treatment, Inc. , for the period from October 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999 (which included a six- month automatic extension through December 31, 1.999) to provide methadone treatment services through its Methadone Maintenance. Clinics Program (Medi-Cal, Drug Abuse Treatment Services) in East and Wiest County, These methadone maintenance treatment services are mandated under Sobsky v. Smoley.. FISCAL IMPACT: This project is bunged 100% by State BASN funding.
