FISCAL IMPAC' This Contract is funded 100% by the State Department of Health Services, Office of AIDS. No County match is required. BACKGRO The Center for Disease Control and the State Office of AT-IDS have mandated the County Health Department to create a HIM Prevention Planning Group (HPPG) to guide local prevention efforts. County' s AIDS program incorporates HPPG recommendations to provide HIV prevention services through local. agencies. This Contract meets the social needs of the population of the County in that it provides education and prevention services to reduce the incidence of HTV and other STDs among County' s at-risk population. On September 1, 1998 , the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-456-6 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #22-456-7) with Center for Human Development, for the period from July 1, 1998 through June 39, 1999, to provide HIV/AIDS education and prevention services for young men who are at increased risk: for HIV. Approval. of Contract 22-455-8 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2000 . On September 1, 1998 , the Hoard of Supervisors approved Contract 24-602-14 (as amended by Administrative Amendment Agreement #24-602-15) with Seneca Residential and Day `treatment Center, Inc . , for the period from jul.y 1, 1998 through rune 30, 1999, (which included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 1999) to provide intensive day treatment, mental health, medication support, crisls & case management servicers for County- referred minors . This Novation.
