Approval of Interagency Agreement #22-568-5 will allow HACCC to continue providing services for the operation of County' s Homeless Program' s Brookside and Central County shelters and Mt. Novation Contract #24-722-5-5 replaces the six-month automatic extension under the prior Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2000 . FISCAL IMPACT Funding for this Contract is included in the Health Services Department ' s Enterprise I budget . BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S) : For many years the County has contracted with registries to provide temporary qualified personnel to assist the Department during pear work loads, temporary absences and emergency situations . ;finder Contract #26--352 , the Contractor shall provide its uniformed security officers to safeguard equipment and furnishings and to monitor unauthorized visitors at the Los Medanos Community Hospital carpus prior to occupancy of the facility by Pittsburg Health Center staff . These officers will patrol the buildings and grounds in order to serve as a visible deterrent for potential problems, particularly thefts and vandalism, at the property. Once the facility is occupied by the Department, the Public Safety Officers currently assigned to the Pittsburg Hearth Center will assume responsibility for security services at the Los Medanos campus . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/B CKGROUND: Currently, the Department has no nursing leadership/management at its Richmond Health Center, Fast County Ambulatory Care Centers and forth Richmond Center .for Health. The large nursing team needs on-site leadership, guidance and consistency. LTnder Contract #26-380, Cheryl Standley will provide professional services as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Supervisor, including but not limited to, assisting the Department in policy development and implementation, hiring and supervising professional and non- professional nursing personnel, and providing day-to-day coordination of nursing services in the Ambulatory Care Centers through July 31, 2000 .
