July 27, 1999 Page IL Financi i impact- `l°here is no impact to the General Farad, Ills Reasons fog � dat � aa�d r� da The Board of Supervisors directed the Public Works and Community Development Departments to develop a Management Programa for the Southern Pacific light of Way frorn Concord to the Alameda County lire. The Management Program shall include a landscaping component that will provide criteria for landscaping within the riga of way and look at financing mechanisms for implementation and maintenance ®f landscaping, An Advisory Committee was formed to work with the two departments to develop the landscaping component of the Management Programa, In, April "1988 the Committee and staff selected a consultant, Bluhon Planning Group, to develop the landscaping component of the program. The administrative draft is complete and ready for circuiation for review. It €s necessary to extend the consultant's contract to allow adequate time for review and input by the cities of Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville and San Ramon, and the public. €he number of revisions needed was more than originally estimated and it is necessary to increase the payment limit to cover the additional labor and production costs. IV. Conse-quences of Neese Action: Lack of approval YMili limit the amount of review by cities along the corridor and by the public.
