AL,) ALONG LIVORNA ROAD IN THE ALAMO AREA TO EVALUATE GRANGE IN LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM SINGLE FAMILY VERY LOW (SV) TO SINGLE FAMILY LOW (RL) SPECIFIC REQUEST( RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 1. Authorize a General Plan Amendment Study for three residential parcels (APN 192-210- 912, 192-210-011, and 192-210-06), totaling 5.7 acres, fronting Livorna Read in Alamo to revise land use designation from Single Family Very Levu to Singe Family Loan-. 2. Granting authorization of this request does riot imply any support for this application, but only that this matter is appropriate for study. EISAL \—fTA,r The a;*ic nt shall pay an amendment fee to cover the County's coat of this study. Mr. Carl Spiiker, and his neighbor-, iter. George Gayler and Mr. Robert Menary, have requested a General Plan Amendment study be authorized for three parcels (APN 192-210-012, 192-210- 011, and 192-210-05) they individually own which front the 900 black on Livorna Road in Alamo. totaling 5.7 acres. Their request involves a General Plan revision for the three parcels to change the current Single Family Very Low designation to a Single Family Low designation. The request was made on their behalf by Aliquot Engineers in a letter submitted on April 1, 1999. In the April 1, 1999 request €eater, submitted on their behalf by Aliquot Engineers, the applicants note that there have bean recent General Pian amendments approved by the Board of Supervisors for severa€ nearby properties fronting Livorna Road in which the lard use designations were changed from SV to SL. They reasons that these changes have established a pattern of €and use for properties fronting €oivornsa Road based on the SL designation. In addition, they note that many of the remaining single parcels, which surround the three parcels owned by the applicants, have of areas which are consistent with the SL designation rather than the SV designation in the General :Mars. Staff feels the request for the General Plan Amendment Study is reasonable and the study should be authorized.
