SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
1. Recommended Action:
AUTHORIZE the Board Chair to execute a Quitclaim Deed to the City of Oakley on behalf of the
District.
DIRECT the Real Property Division to deliver said deed to the Grantee.

III, Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
On July 28, 1998, the Board adopted Resolution No. 98/390, pursuant to the Local Agency
Formation Commission of Contra Costa County Resolution 97-17, calling for the transfer of
certain real property to the City of Oakley. Those Flood Control basins in Drainage Areas 30A
and 30C are not included in this action pending further study.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The Flood Control District would be in violation of the above-cited Resolutions.

Contra Costa County is currently shown on the assessor's rolls as the owner of a vacant 1.22-acre
fire station site on Tice Valley Boulevard in Walnut Creek. This action is necessary to properly vest
title to this property with the District.

Title of the Fire District property will continue to vest improperly with Contra Costa County.
