A lease amendment has been negotiated to extend the term until August 31, 2003, as follows:

RENTAL: $1,000 per month
PREVIOUS RENTAL: $800 per month
TERM: Extended from September 1, 1998, until August 31, 2003
COMMENCING: September 1, 1998
OPTION: No
CANCELLATION: 30-day notice, if funding is lost

SPECIFIC REQUESTS OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
1. RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE a Lease Amendment with Rich nd
Townhouses Apartments Ltd., to extend the Lease term for the premises at 2999
Pullman Avenue, Richmond, for continued use by the Community Services Department,
under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease, and
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Amendment on behalf
of the County.
11. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The rental payments are included in the budget of the
Community Services Department.
111. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONSIBACKGROUND: This Lease Amendment will
provide space for continued use by the Child Development Program as requested by
the Community Services Department.
