BACRGROM TREASON(S) FOR-RECOMMENDATION(S) : On October 28, 1997, the Board of Supervisors approved (Novation) Contract ,#22-137-24 with Family and Community Services, Inc. , for the period from July 1, 1997 through :lune 30, 1998, for Senior Nutrition Program services. This Novation Contract #22-1.37. 25 replaces the four-month automatic extension under the prior Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing home-delivered meal services through Jane 30, 1999 . Koch, effective June 1, 1995, to amend Contract #24-795-3, to .increase the Payment Limit by $14,465 from $54,9203 to a new total contract payment limit $69, 385. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is included in the Health Services Department's budget and is funded by 100 % County/Realignment funds. BACKGROUNDZREASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S) On October 21, 1997, the Heard of Supervisors approved Contract #24-795-3 with Christina C. Koch, for the period from October 1, 1997 through September 30, 1998, for prevision of technical assistance, consultation and coordination to the County's Mental Health Commission, a required governing body pursuant to AH 14 (Chapter 1374, Statutes of 1992) . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: By its order dated June 11, 1998, the Board authorized the Executive Director of the Private Industry Council to execute DTPA contract amendment/extensions with various service providers to implement the East Contra Costa One Stop Career Center including United Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations (#19-1238-1) to extend the contract ending date from June 30, 1998 to June 30, 1999 and to increase the contract payment by $160,000. However, prior to execution of this amendment/extension, the Private Industry Council was informed that United Council had ceased operations, effective August 31, 1998 and is no longer a viable organization.
