Dear Chair DeSaulnier: TRANSPAC, and its member jurisdictions, have begun to review the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Amendments to the Pleasant Hill BART Station Specific Plan. We appreciated the presentation on the document by County Staff and consultant at the September 11, .1997 TRANSPAC meeting. However,we believe that our jurisdictions will need additional time to review and prepare comments on the document. We are requesting that comment period be extended to the middle or even end of November-to allow sufficient time for staff review and Council action on comments. We would appreciate the County's favorable action on our request and notification of the new close of comment date. Thank you for your consideration.
