Financial Impact: The estimated project cost is $80,000, funded by Community Development Block Grand (75%), and County Road Funds (25%). III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The project includes the construction of drainage improvements and concrete curb and sidewalk. It is needed to provide a safe sidewalk for the citizens of Knightsen as they go from their homes to the business district and for children to use on their way to and from school. The project has been determined to be in compliance the General Plan and is exempt from CEQA because the project consists of a minor alteration of existing facilities involving no expansion of use per Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Failure to approve the project will result in a delay of design and construction and may jeopardize the funding.
