The Zellerbach Family Fund proposal maximizes the use of public resources and utilizes Zellerbach
Family Fund's support to : (1) serve those unemployed and underemployed individuals whose needs are
not provided for under existing Federal, State and County funding sources; (2) provide the types of
supports and services needed by all unemployed and underemployed individuals, but not sufficiently
covered by other existing sources; and (3) build indigenous community capacity to provide
comprehensive community-wide employment services over the long-term. This proposal will increase
the success of low and no-income community residents to make the transition to economic self-
sufficiency.
