IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
OF
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of Commemorating the Ten )
Year Anniversary of the West County )
Adult Day Care Center ) Resolution 96/ 405.
WHEREAS, the West County Adult Day Care Center has been providing
Alzheimers respite care to low income families in West Contra Costa County since 1985;
and
WHEREAS, despite the fact that it has no ongoing funding stream, but depends
on support from small grants, the West County Adult Day Care Center has grown from a
part-time program with limited hours to its present, five-day a week, full time service
center; and
WHEREAS, this Center provides the only full-time Alzheimers respite and adult day care
service center in West Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, 1995 marked the passing of ten years of service provided by this
Center; and
WHEREAS, the County of Contra Costa is grateful for the outstanding services
which are being provided to families by this facility; and
Now, therefore be it resolved that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County joins in commemorating the ten year anniversary of the West Contra Costa Adult
Day Care Center .
Be it further resolved that the Board of Supervisors wishes the West County
Adult Day Care Center continued success in its operation throughout the coming years.
PASSED AND ADOPTED on September 17, 1996,by an unanimous vote of the Board members present.
