Avenue So. , Pacheco, concerning abatement of their property.

LTHIS RESOLUTION IS A CARRY OVER FROM A PREVIOUS RES07CONTRA COSTA CO.
WE COMPLIED WITH THE PREVIOUS ORDER, BY TEARING DOWN THE
OLD STRUCTURE AND APPLYING FOR A NEW PERMIT FOR THE NEW
PROJECT. AS WE SEE IT, THE OLD ORDER WAS FINISHED WHEN WE TORE
THE OLD STRUCTURE DOWN. (SEE THE PICTURES)
2.OUR MONEY HAS BEEN STRETCHED TO THE BREAKING POINT AND
BEYOND.HERE ARE SEVERAL REASONSME HAD A FIRE IN THE FRONT
HOUSE. WE JUST RESOLVED THE ISSUE WITH THE FIRE INSURANCE
COMPANY LAST YEAR (1995).WE NEVER HAD A DISASTER LIKE THIS TO
CONTEND WITH BEFORE AND WE DID NOT FARE WELL THROUGH THE 4
YEARS OF TURMOIL, MONEYWISE. DURING THIS TIME WE WERE TRYING TO
BRING THIS PROJECT AT THE REAR OF THE PROPERTY TO A FINISH.
(OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE AGITATED SOME PEOPLE. WE APOLOGISE
FOR THAT. IT WAS NOT OUR INTENTION TO DO THAT! WE HAVE LIVED
THERE SINCE 1973!)
THE MONEY EXPENDITURES ARE STILL A PROBLEM.(WE ARE COMPLYING
WITH A VERY DIFFICULT SEISMIC UPGRADE THAT WE WERE NOT EVEN
AWARE WE HAD TO DO, UNTIL LAST SEPTEMBER.) AFTER MUCH SHUFFLING
AROUND AND MANY DELAYS, WE HAVE PAID FOR THE ENGINEERING
(THREE TIMES OVER!) AND SECURED A NEW PERMIT.
(#'S 209009 & 209010) THESE WERE LIMITED BY MR.FRANKLIN LEW
TO I MONTH,(NORMALLY 6 MONTHS). WE WERE FORCED TO AGREE
TO THIS! WE HAVE FAILED MISERABLY ON ALL TIME SCHEDULES.
BUT WE WANT TO FINISH REGARDLESS HOW LATE WE HAVE
BECOME. WE WOULD LIKE THE REST OF OUR BUILDING PERMIT TIME
RESTORED,SO WE CAN DO THIS. (THE PERMIT WOULD NORMALLY RUN FOR
180 DAYS,UNTIL DECEMBER 1996. WE PAID FOR THE TIME, WE NEED IT TO
FINISH!)
3.THE BUILDING DEPT. HAS KEPT THE PRESSURE UP TO FINISH. WE ARE
TRYING TO DO THIS. THE EXTRA UNEXPECTED $15,000.00 OUT OF POCKET
FOR THE SEISMIC WORK HAS JUST ABOUT KILLED US FINANCIALLY!
BUT WE ARE GOING TO DO IT, MISSED SCHEDULES AND ALL!
4. THE COUNTY IS NOW IN THE PROCESS OF ABATING THE BUILDING.
WE WANT THIS PROCESS STOPPED! (WE ALSO HAVE A LAWSUIT
PENDING AGAINST THE COUNTY #C95-04767 FOR ANY DAMAGES THAT
MAY RESULT FROM THE ABATEMENT OF OUR PROPERTY.)
