ADVISORY COUNCIL
SPECIFIC REGUEST(S)OR RECOMMENOATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. REAPPOINT Jonothan Dumas to the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory
Council for a three-year term ending November 30, 1999.
2. APPOINT to Labor Seat #2 on the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory
Council effective December 1, 1996 for a two-year term ending November 30,
1998, representing Public Employees Union, Local 1:

BACKGROUND:
The term of office of Jonothan Dumas on the Equal Employment Opportunity
Advisory Council (EEOAC) expires November 30, 1996. Mr. Dumas is willing to
serve another term and our Committee believes that he is making a most valuable
contribution to the County by serving on the Equal Employment Opportunity Advisory
Council. We are, therefore, recommending his reappointment for another term of
office.

There are two labor seats on the EEOAC which rotate among the unions
representing County employees in a predetermined sequence. These terms of office
are for two years. Local One has the opportunity to nominate a representative for
Seat# 2, the term for which expires November 30, 1996. Local One has nominated
Jacque Salvador to serve as their representative for the next two years and we are,
therefore, recommending her appointment.
