Adopted this Order on September 10, 1996, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Bishop, DeSaulnier, Torlakson, Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Grant Permission to completely close a portion of Oakview Avenue, Kensington
area,for the purpose of Kensington Lions Club's Oktoberfest fundraiser. (RC-96-
25)
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that permission is granted to Kensington Lions Club to
completely close, except for emergency traffic, Oakview Avenue between Colusa Avenue and Santa Fe
Avenue on Sunday, September 15, 1996, from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of their
Oktoberfest fundraiser,subject to the following conditions:
I. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets.
2. All signing to be in accordance with the State of California Manual of Traffic Controls.
3. The Kensington Lions Club shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra
Costa County.
4. Have on file with the County a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for
Comprehensive General Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured.
5. Obtain approval for the closure from the Sheriff's Department, the California Highway Patrol and
the Fire District.
