RECOMMENDED ACTION: ADOPT Resolution No. 3784 approving Section 8 Rental Certificate and Rental Voucher Program Annual Contributions Contract No. SF-468,as amended,and AUTHORIZING execution by the Chair of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa. IL FINANCIAL IMPACT: Section 8 certificate replacement contract authority in the amount of$96,550 and budget authority in the amount of $193,000 has been obligated for increment number CAO 1 I CE0048. IIl. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONBACKGROUND The Housing Authority has received notification from the U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development(HUD) that Section 8 Certificate replacement contract and budget authority has been reserved for increment number CAO 11 CE0048, which will replace Moderate Rehabilitation Housing Assistance Payments(HAP)contracts under increment CA011MR0001 that expire between January 1 and December 31, 1996. This replacement funding is for a two year term. To secure these funds for the Section 8 Certificate program,it will be necessary for the Board of Commissioners to adopt Resolution No. 3784. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Should the Board of Commissioners elect not to adopt Resolution No. 3784,the Housing Authority would lose this reserved replacement funding. Section 8 certificate replacement contract authority in the amount of $96, 550 and budget authority in the amount of $193, 100 has been obligated for increment number CA0110E0048. This new ` funding increment is to replace Moderate Rehabilitation Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) contracts under increment CA011MR0001 that expire between January 1 and December 31, 1996. The term is for two years. Enclosed is a copy of the worksheet used to arrive at the amount for the new increment and other documents for your information. Please incorporate the increment in your next budget revision or year-end settlement, whichever is done first. The annual contribution should reflect the increased contract authority of this increment. These obligted funds cannot be drawn upon until the ACC is executed by both the housing authority and HUD.
