THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Adopted this Order on October. 18; 1983__, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Fanden, McPeak, Torlakson, Schroder
NOES: None
ABSENT: Supervisor Powers
ABSTAIN: None
SUBJECT: Hearing bn Rezoning Application 2562-RZ Filed by
Ronald Nunn, Brentwood Area, (Lopez-Nunn Ranch owners) .

This being the time set for hearing on the recommendation
of the County Planning Commission with respect to the application
filed by Ronald Nunn, (2562-RZ) , Lopez-Nunn Ranch (owners) , to
rezone land in the Brentwood area from Heavy Agriculture (A-3) to
Agriculture Preserve (A-4) ; and
Harvey Bragdon, Assistant Director of Planning having
described the property site and having advised that no
Environmental Impact Report was prepared by the County Planning
staff inasmuch as Agricultural Preserve District Zoning (A-4) is an
exempt status (Class-17) ; and
The Chairman having opened the public hearing and, no one
having appeared in opposition, the public hearing having been
closed; and
The Board having considered the matter, and having deter-
mined that the rezoning substantially complies with the general
plan, and that the uses authorized or proposed in the land use district
are compatible within the district, and the community need has been
demonstrated for the use proposed, but this does not require
demonstration of future financial success;
IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that rezoning application
2562-RZ is APPROVED as recommended by the County Planning Commission,
and that the property owner is required to sign a contract
establising an Agricultural Preserve.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Chairman is AUTHORIZED to
execute the appropriate land Conservation Contract.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that Ordinance Number 83-56 giving
effect to the aforesaid rezoning is INTRODUCED, reading waived and
November 1, 1983 is set for adoption of same.
