SUBJECT: Granting an Expansion RESOLUTION NO. 96/373
of License Area to , (CCC Ord. C. Sec. 58-2.002
Century Cable of Northern et seq. [Ord. No. 93-55]
California and Gov. C. Sec. 53066)
WHEREAS, on July 12, 1994, pursuant to Resolution No. 94/364, the Board granted to
Century Cable of Northern California ("grantee") a nonexclusive license to establish, construct,
operate and maintain a cable system within certain unincorporated areas of Contra Costa County
("license area"); and
WHEREAS, the grantee would like to provide cable service to additional areas and has filed
an application for expansion of license area pursuant to Section 58-4.024 of the County Ordinance
Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES that:
1. License and Area. Subject to all terms and conditions of the grantee's existing
license and Ordinance No. 93-55, there is hereby grfnted to the grantee an expansion of the grantee's
license area to include the additional areas described and delineated on the map filed with the
application dated July 19, 1996, which constitutes and forms part of this license expansion as granted.

2. Term. This expansion of license area is for the remaining term of the grantee's existing
license granted pursuant to Resolution No. 94/364. (Section 58-4.010.)
3. Fee. For the additional areas covered by this expansion of license area, the grantee
shall pay a license fee as specified in Section 3 of Resolution No. 94/364. (Section 58-6.002.)
4. Bonds and Insurance. The bonds and insurance previously filed by the grantee shall
also apply to the additional areas covered by this expansion of license area. (Sections 58-6.004, 58-
6.006 and 58-6.008.)
5. Effective Date and Acceptance. The expansion of license area granted herein
shall become effective when the grantee has filed in a timely manner its written acceptance and its
agreement to be bound by and comply with all of the requirements of Ordinance No. 93-55, as
amended from time to time, and delivers to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors any riders or
endorsements necessary to comply with Section 4 above. (Sections 58-4.012 and 58-4.014.)
