IN RECOGNITION OF NATALIE SCHNEYDER, ]
TAMMY CLELAND, HEATHER PEASE, AND JILL SAVERY ]
FOR WINNING A GOLD MEDAL IN SYNCHRONIZED l
SWIMMING AT THE1996 SUMMER OLYMPICS. ] RES. NO. 96\355
WHEREAS, this was the first year in which the sport of synchronized swimming
was held in the Olympics; and
WHEREAS, the Walnut Creek Aquanuts exhibited a flawless performance at the
1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta,Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the Aquanuts brought the sport of synchronized swimming to the
attention of America and the world; and
WHEREAS, a tremendous amount of practice and dedication has gone into
achieving the level of mastery exhibited by the team; and
WHEREAS, the Aquanuts set a wonderful example to which young people can
aspire; and
WHEREAS, Contra Costa County residents Tammy Cleland, Heather Pease, Jill
Savery and Natalie Schneyder are members of the Aquanuts' Olympic team.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Supervisors of Contra
Costa County does hereby congratulate
Tammy Cleland
Heather Pease
Jill Savery
Nathalie Schneyder
for winning the gold medial in synchronized swimming at the 1996 Summer
Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote of those Supervisors present on
August 13, 1996.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of an action taken and
entered on the minutes of said Board of Supervisors.
