Report For FY 1995/96
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
AUTHORIZE the Chair to execute the Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG) FY 1995 Grantee Performance Report on activities assisted with
CDBG funds during the period beginning May 1, 1995 and ending May 31,
1996 .
FISCAL IMPACT
None
BACKGROUND/REASON FOR RECOMMENDATIONS
The Grantee Performance Report (GPR) is required by the Housing and
Community Development Act of 1974 , as amended. The purpose of the GPR is
to provide information on how a Grantee used its CDBG funds during its most
recently completed program year. The GPR is the primary tool used by the
U. S . Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in its annual
review, to- determine whether ( 1) the County, on behalf of the Urban County,
has carried out projects/programs as described in its annual Action Plan;
( 2 ) CDBG assisted activities are eligible and meet a national objective,
and whether expenditures meet certain statutory requirements; ( 3) the
County has demonstrated a continuing capacity to carry out the CDBG
Program. The GPR is due to HUD no later than July 31, 1996 .
